Thanks for your comments. All routine bookable appointments are set up to be bookable online as well. Unlike many Practices we make appointments available to be booked uUsually 4-6 weeks ahead. Like all Practices we do retain a proportion of appointments that can only be booked on the day to deal with requests for urgent appointments and these are best booked by the reception team, responding to demand on the day and ensuring patients are seen at the best time based on their needs. These appointments are not bookable online as a result. So the advice is always the same, if it's routine please book ahead online with the GP of your choice at a time that suits. If you need is more urgent then telephone. On many occasions we've found that a call back from a GP is better for the patient or indeed a home visit may be required and so on. Hopefully that clarifies things.
